While visiting a good friend of mine at the Lehigh University dorms I was invited to join in on a game of quake. I hid in a corner and lobbed grenades out at random guys running by. I laughed like a girl as some dude from down the hall started yelling obsceneties at me. From then on I was a deathmaching machine. I added RTS to my nerdy diet of entertainment when total annihilation came out in 97. I really haven't loved an RTS as much since...until SupCom. I played lots of console games until the mid 90s. I'm sure you have imagined by the quality of my play that I, until recently, was a complete noob at online strategy gaming. In fact, I am not. My first experience was in college in the early 80's. That's right. The early 80's. It wasn't even the internet. It was pre-internet. At the University of Kentucky we had a link with the University of Louisville. I ran into some guys (and girls) who would chat and play on-line games with a group at the other school until the wee hours on pirated computer science student account numbers. Thus my criminal past is also revealed. Then, in the early nad middle 90's I played a hell of a lot of Starcraft on-line on dial-up. So I may well beat out even Highlander in length of service to the Great Time Waster. I have been holding out on you all.
